Powering Progress: Gizil's Strategic Collaboration with nVent in Leveraging the Advanced Electrical Heat Tracing Portfolio in the Kirikkale CCGT IPP Project

The Kirikkale Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) Independent Power Plant (IPP) is a prime example of strategic collaboration, technological innovation, and meticulous planning coming together to create a solution that is not only efficient but also environmentally friendly. Playing an instrumental role in the successful execution of this project is Gizil. Gizil, in partnership with nVent, a global leader in electrical connection and protection solutions, took on the Electrical Heat Tracing (EHT) scope of the project. Electrical Heat Tracing, an essential process for maintaining process temperatures, compensating for heat loss, and providing freeze protection, proved to be a critical component of the project.

The nVent's Raychem EHT portfolio, known for its reliable and efficient solutions, was chosen as the technology of choice for this project. The power portfolio includes innovative technologies and systems designed specifically for the power industry. In particular, their heat management systems help to maintain and improve safety and efficiency in power generation facilities, making it an ideal fit for the Kirikkale CCGT IPP project.

The statistics from the project serve to highlight the scale and complexity of the task at hand. Gizil's skilled team installed more than 20 kilometers of parallel heating cables and more than 10 kilometers of serial resistance MI heaters. The number of heating circuits used in the project was greater than 1000, reflecting the complex and intricate network of systems in place. The total installed capacity was more than 1 megawatt, signifying the power and potential of this project.
